Amy is a Registered Cosmetic Nurse with 1 year experience and is in clinic one day per week. What should clients expect during and after their appointment?
During your appointment: After a thorough consultation (including noting previous treatments, medical history and expectations), we will cleanse and prep the treatment area, mark injection points if needed, chat with our prescribing doctors and administer the treatment with precision. The process is quick, with minimal discomfort, and we use techniques to make it as comfortable as possible.
After your appointment: Most patients experience minor redness, swelling, or tenderness, which settles within hours to a few days. Anti-wrinkle results take up to 2 weeks to take full effect, while fillers and bio-remodelling show instant results, settling over the following 2 weeks with continuous improvement.
You’ll leave the clinic with aftercare instructions and our full support to ensure optimal results.
Are there any pre-treatment or post-treatment care instructions clients should follow?
Yes! Pre and post-care are key to getting the best results and minimising side effects.
Before treatment: Avoid alcohol, blood-thinning medications (unless prescribed), and intense exercise 24 hours prior.
After treatment: Avoid touching the area for at least 4 hours, no intense exercise, saunas, or excessive heat for 24-48 hours, stay upright for at least 4 hours post-anti-wrinkle treatment, keep hydrated and avoid excessive pressure on the treated area for a few days.
However we’ll provide personalised pre and aftercare instructions tailored to your treatment.
How long do results typically last, and when should clients book maintenance appointments?
Anti-wrinkle treatments: Results appear within 3–7 days and last 3 months on average.
Dermal fillers: Depending on the area treated, results last 12-24 months.
Bio-remodelling: Results build over 7 months and last 9-12 months.
For best results, we recommend booking maintenance appointments before the full effect wears off to keep a natural, refreshed look.
A few factors can affect treatment longevity ie. metabolism, exercise routine, muscle activity, regularity treatments.
Do you offer consultations, and if so, what can clients expect from them?
Absolutely! Our consultations are pressure-free and educational, designed to help you understand what’s best for your individual anatomy. We will go over your concerns, assess your features, explain your options, and answer any questions. It’s all about creating a plan that aligns with your goals while keeping things natural and balanced (and within budget!).
Are there any common misconceptions about injectables that you’d like to clear up?
